Join My Group Classes
My GCSE and A Level exam focused classes take place live and are all led by me, a highly experienced teacher and examiner with a proven track record of helping students achieve their full potential.
Classes are kept small with students receiving ongoing support between sessions, marked papers, one-one check ins and regular feedback. This approach ensures students are fully supported with personalised attention throughout their maths journey at Mack's Maths.
I am committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing online learning environment where all students feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Learning from the comfort of their own homes allows students to engage in a space that feels familiar and secure, helping to reduce anxiety and build confidence. This positive group environment allows students to ask the questions they might not feel able to ask at school.
I encourage each learner to participate in the way that feels most comfortable for them - whether that means keeping their camera and microphone on or off - fostering autonomy and respect for individual needs. This flexibility benefits every learner, but is especially supportive for neurodivergent students, who may find traditional classroom environments overstimulating or socially demanding.

Hi I'm Kirsten!!
I’m a fully qualified maths teacher and examiner with over 15 years of experience helping students boost their confidence and reach their full potential in their GCSE and A level maths exams. Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about supporting students not only to improve their grades, but also to build confidence and truly believe in their ability to succeed in maths.
Maths can be a challenging subject, and it’s completely normal for students to feel overwhelmed at times and I’ve supported thousands of students who felt stuck, not because they couldn’t do maths, but because no one had shown them how to make it click. Most don’t struggle from lack of effort or ability, but from a lack of clarity, structure, or self-belief.
That’s where I come in. I break down complex ideas into simple, engaging steps that make sense. By giving students a structured way to tackle problems, I help remove much of the stress and panic from exam preparation, replacing it with calm, logical thinking and confidence. With a focus on less memorising and more understanding; once students truly grasp the key concepts, they can focus on what really matters: applying their knowledge, gaining confidence, and mastering exam technique. I help students go from overwhelmed and unsure to clear, capable, and exam-ready.
While achieving strong results is always a key goal, I’m equally proud of the supportive, approachable atmosphere I create in my lessons. I believe that when students feel safe to ask questions and make mistakes, real learning happens. My approach combines clear explanations, practical strategies, and plenty of encouragement — helping students to develop resilience, grow in confidence, and even begin to enjoy their maths journey.
Every year, I am delighted to receive outstanding feedback from parents and students alike. My learners achieve excellent results — a reflection of their hard work, determination, and their commitment to making the most of the supportive environment and effective methods I provide.
I look forward to guiding and supporting your child every step of the way. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via my Contact Page. You can find out more about my credentials here.
My goal is to eliminate the stress of learning maths so that students can reach their full potential
I offer small group classes, with a maximum of eight students per class, personally led by me, Kirsten Mack, an expert secondary school maths teacher with years of experience as an examiner.
Parents receive regular feedback. Both parent and student feedback is encouraged and appreciated as it helps me continually improve and maintain the high quality of my classes. I believe in regularly updating parents on their child's progress.
I provide a monthly marked past paper for all of my GCSE and A level students. Not only do they aid my students with exam prep and help them stay on track, but they also provide me with valuable information for planning my sessions.
I offer students support between sessions and am always on hand to help with questions. I also offer a monthly one to one for all students so I can check in with them personally for feedback and a catch up.
My classes require lots of student interaction and participation. Students are active in class, completing questions with answers fed back in chat box or verbally (when they feel comfortable to do so) to verify understanding throughout the class.
I have helped hundreds of students significantly improve their grades through the methods provided in my exam-focused, confidence building and small group classes.
Our sessions are designed to build confidence in a motivational and nurturing environment.
We aim to open doors for students by empowering them in maths by building confidence and showing students they too have what it takes.
Students often put so much pressure on themselves to do well but without the right support this can result in stress and burnout and a knock in confidence. I have not doubt most of the learners who come to us for support are already aiming high and working hard.
My goal is to help turn hard work into results and help make their journey as successful and stress-free as possible through patience and knowledgeable guidance.
Tutoring, for me, is about helping students overcome challenges and discover their own ability to succeed in maths. I believe that everyone can achieve more than they think possible when they’re given the right guidance and encouragement. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch a student go from feeling uncertain or frustrated to experiencing those “lightbulb moments” when everything finally clicks. Over time, their confidence builds, and that positive change often spreads beyond maths into other areas of their learning too.
We focus on refining techniques and aiming for deep understanding, as well as spending time doing targeted past paper practice with a focus on exam strategies. This combined approach helps students build confidence and ensure they enter the exam believing in themselves in order to reach their full potential.
As an examiner, I know exactly what is required to get those all important marks and I love sharing my years of knowledge with my students and watching their grades and confidence improve as a result.
Feedback From Our Students
”Kirsten really helped me with my confidence going into my Maths A Level exam. She tailored sessions around my in-class assessments, helping me prepare and going through my mistakes afterwards. This really allowed me to strengthen my weaker areas. Kirsten provided a relaxed teaching environment and I would recommend her to anyone.”
Erin - Former A level maths student
”Kirsten is so positive and uplifting with our daughter. We can't believe the difference we saw in her confidence, and the icing on the cake was her grade 8 in her GCSE maths exam."
Jane - Parent of former GCSE student
Benefits of our Sessions
Students are more likely to speak up, ask questions, and take risks in a space free from comparison or judgment.
INCREASED CONFIDENCE
Learning alongside like-minded peers fosters a sense of community, encouragement, and mutual motivation.
STRONG PEER SUPPORT
ENCOURAGEMENT & EMPOWERMENT
COLLABORATION OVER COMPETITION
In our sessions we all actively encourage each other. With the aim being to break down any barriers that may exist due to stereotypes about women in STEM fields, helping students to feel empowered and capable.
Rather than a competitive atmosphere, these sessions emphasize collaboration. Students work together, sharing ideas and problem-solving strategies, and supporting each other through challenges. This fosters a sense of community, where students feel like they’re in it together.
Mistakes are seen as a natural part of the learning process, and the focus is on learning from them. This mindset helps to reduce anxiety about getting things wrong and encourages risk-taking and perseverance. The focus is on effort, improvement, and progress, not perfection.
GROWTH MINDSET
Students are regularly acknowledged for their hard work and progress, reinforcing the idea that their efforts are valuable. Praise is specific, acknowledging the thought process behind problem-solving rather than just the correct answers.
